Why I Became Santa
I’ve always believed Christmas magic is about more than just presents. It’s about kindness, wonder, family, and creating memories that last a lifetime.
What began as a simple opportunity to put on the red suit as a replacement Santa in a small town parade, quickly became something much more meaningful. The first time I saw a child’s face light up because they truly believed Santa had come to see them, I realized this was more than just playing a character. I had the unique opportunity to become part of a family’s Christmas story through authentic Santa experiences.
Today, as Santa Doug of Magical Santa Memories, my goal is simple: to make every child and adult I meet feel that, for just a little while, the magic of Christmas is absolutely real.

Santa Doug embodies more than just a man in a red suit; he brings the enchanting Christmas magic to life, creating moments that children and families truly believe in. As a professional Santa with a real beard, Santa Doug blends the warmth and wonder of traditional Santa experiences with years of entertainment for children, families, businesses, and entire communities.
Authenticity Matters
Children notice the little things that contribute to the Christmas magic. They look at Santa’s beard, his boots, his belt, his voice, and even the twinkle in his eye. That’s why authenticity is so important to me as a professional Santa.
My goal is never simply to look like Santa. It’s to create unforgettable Santa experiences that ensure when children look into my eyes, they believe, without a doubt, “That’s really him.”

A professional Santa invests in quality wardrobe and appearance, Santa training, background checks, insurance, and continued education while learning how to work comfortably with children, adults, photographers, businesses, and large crowds.
Most importantly, a professional Santa understands the responsibility that comes with the red suit. From answering a child's unexpected question to representing a company at a major event, Santa should be prepared, dependable, patient, kind, and always committed to protecting the magic of Christmas.
Education Matters
Santa training is an important part of creating an authentic and memorable experience. Santa Doug has attended multiple Santa schools and continues to study, learning everything from working with children and families to storytelling, photography, event performance, Santa traditions, and maintaining the magic of the character.

Santa has alot of responsibility, especially when children are involved. That's why professional background checks and liability insurance are important parts of choosing a professional Santa.
Santa Doug undergoes an annual background check and carries a $1 million liability insurance policy, providing families, businesses, schools, and event organizers with added confidence and peace of mind. Creating Christmas magic is important, but the safety and well-being of every guest always comes first.

Experience, Patience & Understanding
Before becoming Santa, I spent many years working as a nurse, an experience that taught me the importance of patience, compassion, dignity. I especially enjoy creating meaningful Santa memories for children and adults with special needs, as well as seniors living in care homes. I focus on adapting each interaction so guests can enjoy the magic of Christmas in a way that feels comfortable, respectful, and uniquely their own.
